About AUB Paymate

AUB is the first bank to carry China's biggest mobile payment apps, Alipay and WeChat Pay.

The AUB PayMate app or web-based platform allows establishments to accept Alipay and WeChat Pay transactions from Chinese nationals, providing Merchant Partners with cashier management, transactional and reportorial functions.

Payment Collection Methods Using the AUB PayMate App

1 Cashier Scans Customer's QR Code

  1. Customer generates a unique QR code from his/her Alipay/WeChat Pay account.
  2. Cashier inputs the transaction amount in the AUB PayMate App, then generates the scanning tool.
  3. Cashier scans QR code and instantly collects payment from the customer.
  4. Both the Customer and the Cashier receives payment notifications from their mobile phones.

2 Customer Scans Merchant's Transactional QR Code

  1. The Cashier inputs the transaction amount in the AUB PayMate App
  2. The Cashier chooses payment method (WeChat Pay or Alipay) then generates the QR code for the customer to scan.
  3. From the Alipay/WeChat app, the Customer scans the QR code generated by the Cashier.
  4. The Customer inputs his/her payment password, then payment is complete.
  5. Both the Customer and the Cashier receives payment notifications from their mobile phones.

3 Customer Scans from the Printed/Fixed QR Code Display

  1. The Merchant Partner displays a printed fixed QR code inside the establishment.
  2. From the Alipay/WeChat app, the Customer inputs the transaction amount and scans the printed QR code to pay.
  3. The Customer inputs his/her payment password, then payment is complete.
  4. Both the Customer and the Cashier receives payment notifications from their mobile phones.

Payment Collection Methods Using the AUB PayMate Web Platform

1 Customer Scans the Printed/Fixed QR Code displayed at the Merchant Counters

  1. The Merchant Partner displays a printed fixed QR code inside the establishment.
  2. From the Alipay/WeChat app, the Customer inputs the transaction amount and scans the printed QR code to pay.
  3. The Customer inputs his/her payment password, then payment is complete.
  4. The Customer receives payment notifications from their mobile phone.
  5. The Cashier then refreshes the transactions summary list and sees the new transaction

Payment Collection Method for e-Commerce based Merchants

1 AUB provides API

  1. The Merchant Partner integrates the API provided by AUB in their e-commerce payment gateway.
  2. The customer, upon check-out will choose payment method (Alipay/ WeChat Pay), then scans the generated transactional QR code to pay.
  3. The Customer inputs his/her payment password, then payment is complete.
  4. The Customer receives payment notifications from their mobile phone.
  5. The Merchant Partner receives an automatic notification of payment from the payment gateway platform.
